What is SUP?

It is an abbreviation for "Stand Up Paddleboard" and is an activity where you stand on a board and move across the water.

It also has a relaxing effect and has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Features of pedal SUP

With a regular SUP, you need to hold a paddle in your hand while you paddle, but with a pedal SUP, you simply pedal with your feet! You get twice the propulsion with half the effort. When you're stationary, you can go hands-free, so you can even take photos.

◾️ポイント

Because the board is large and stable, the chance of falling into the water is very low, and you can try it even in your everyday clothes.
Wearing clothes that can get wet, or a swimsuit, is recommended for added comfort and a more enjoyable experience!
Life jackets and marine shoes are available for free rental, so you can come empty-handed!

◾️ Recommended experience time

The surface of Lake Hamana is very stable in the morning, and the wind tends to pick up gradually from around noon, so the morning is the best time to go.

What you can experience in this tour

1. Learn how pedal SUPs work

Put on a life jacket (rental) and head to the pier.

The instructor will explain how pedal SUP works.

2. After the lecture, go on a practice run

You will actually get on the board and receive detailed instructions from the instructor.

The leash cord is attached to your ankle, so if you fall into the water you can hold on to the board, making it safe for those who can't swim.

With a pedal SUP, you hold onto the handlebars and pedal to move forward.

An instructor will be nearby during practice runs.

3. Let's paddle freely on the lake!

For about 60 minutes, you can freely cruise around the calm surface of Lake Oku-Hamana.

When the bike is stopped, you can take your hands off it and take commemorative photos. There is a drink holder so you can stay hydrated.

You can see Inohana Lake Shrine from the lake.

The light shining on the surface of the lake and the wind caressing your cheeks.
As you move across the calm waters, the hustle and bustle of everyday life fades away.
You're sure to find a moment of relaxation in nature.
