What is SUP?

It is an abbreviation for "Stand Up Paddleboard" and is an activity where you stand on a board and move across the water.

It also has a relaxing effect and has become increasingly popular in recent years.

Features of Pedal SUP Guided Tours

With a regular SUP, you need to hold a paddle in your hand while you paddle, but with a pedal SUP, you simply pedal with your feet! You get twice the propulsion with half the effort. When you're stationary, you can go hands-free, so you can even take photos.

■The guided tour will also take you to Tsubutejima, an uninhabited island in Lake Hamana that you cannot visit with the rental plan!
*The tour route may change depending on the weather.

■You can cycle on the lake while enjoying stories that only a local guide can tell you, such as the historic Inohana Lake Shrine, a location that was used as a filming location for a movie, and a distinctive rock formation called XX Rock.

■Early morning only plan when the surface of Lake Hamana is at its most beautiful♬ You won't find a morning activity like this anywhere else.

■The rental plan allows for a 60-minute experience, but the guided tour is 90 minutes long, so you can spend your time at a leisurely pace.

★For the guided tour, please wear clothes that you don't mind getting wet or a swimsuit. Life jackets and marine shoes are available for free rental, so you can come empty-handed.

What you can experience in this tour

1. Tour explanation and preparation will be given on the wooden deck

The tour starts at 6:30 AM. The morning offers the best conditions for experiencing the natural beauty of Lake Hamana, as it's less affected by waves and wind.

Tour staff will provide a safety briefing and lend you life jackets and water shoes.

2. A lecture on how to ride and a commemorative photo before departure

The great thing about pedal SUP is that even beginners can get started right away. Don't worry, our staff will teach you carefully and one-by-one.

Before departure, staff will also take a commemorative photo.

3. Departure to Lake Hamana ~ Guided Tour

Once you've gotten used to riding near the pier, you'll finally set out onto Lake Hamana with your guide.

We will take you on a leisurely tour while explaining the history of Lake Hamana and its natural features.

If the weather is good, we will also take you to Lake Hamana's only uninhabited island, Tsubutejima.

Pedal SUPs are very stable. You can sit on the SUP and enjoy a drink.
Come and experience something you wouldn't normally get to experience on the lake.

At the end, you can return to the wooden deck and relax.
There is also a discount for day trips to the hot springs at the adjacent hotel, Listel Hamanako, so you can relax in the hot springs.
*The hot spring cannot be used between 10:00 and 12:00 due to cleaning.
