- "Hamamatsu Chusen dyeing" is a traditional dyeing technique that has been handed down to the present day and is representative of Hamamatsu, a city known for its textiles.
You can tour the factory and experience dyeing tenugui on the spot.
Depending on how you combine the colors, you can create a one-of-a-kind color and make your own original tenugui.
In this experience, you will dye one item as a group.
*You can take home 2-3 handkerchief-sized tenugui cloths that you have dyed. We also have professionally dyed fabrics for sale.
A report on the experience of "Umi-no-Lake HAMANA Jenne" is posted on the following page.

【Important Notes:】
During the Chusen dyeing process, there is a part where you pour the dye of your choice from a special "kettle", and sometimes the dye will splash, so we recommend that you wear footwear and clothing that takes this into consideration. Also, since you will be working in a factory with a long history, it would be best to avoid wearing heels.
Junior high school students and above must apply as adults.
Children under elementary school age may join as observers for every adult participating in the experience.
Please note that this experience is designed so that each group will dye one item.
Please be aware that this experience will take place in a factory where you normally work.
Please make your reservation at least 7 days in advance.
