EXPERIENCE
"Capsule of Life" Quail Egg Harvesting Experience
Kosai City, located on the shores of Lake Hamana, and the neighboring Higashi Mikawa region are some of the leading producers of quail eggs in the country.
Hamanako Farm has been a quail farming business in Kosai City for three generations.
We want to bring smiles to everyone's faces with quail eggs nurtured with the rich water, air, and agricultural products of Lake Hamana. We want to bring smiles to everyone's faces with delicious, safe, and secure eggs.
With this in mind, we deliver our brand of eggs, "Capsule of Life," which are laid by healthy quails.
The secret to healthy quails is the "power of fermentation," inspired by Japanese cuisine. The lactic acid bacteria contained in the feed protects the health of the quails and makes them less susceptible to disease.
The environment is made up of the clear air of Lake Hamana and mineral-rich well water from the Kosai mountain range. All processes from laying eggs to raising the fish are carried out in-house, ensuring a stable breeding environment without external influences.

What you can experience in this tour
This is an experience that allows you to learn the importance of life and food.
First, you can listen to some "quail stories" and then learn about the ecology of quails in the form of a quiz.
Afterwards, you will receive a carton to put your eggs in, then enter the chicken coop and harvest 10 quail eggs with your own hands to take home as a souvenir.
The producers will also be able to share their favorite ways to cook the freshly laid eggs.
Please try these delicious eggs, rich and mild in flavor, packed full of tiny lives.
If you wish, you can also purchase raw eggs, smoked eggs, and other products at the farm store.
✨Hamamatsu/Lake Hamana Tourism Campaign✨ During the campaign period (until February 19, 2027), we will increase the number of smoked eggs you receive as a souvenir from 5 to 15!
