The Kunma district is located in the northwestern part of Tenryu Ward in Hamamatsu City, at the uppermost reaches of the Atago River. Surrounded by lush forests, it is a region where you can experience the traditional scenery of a mountain village and the warm hospitality of the local people.

The venue for this event, "Michi-no-Eki Kunma Suisha-no-Sato," is a popular community hub where local people can play an active role, and it features restaurants and a shop selling local specialties.

▶What is Nordic walking?

Nordic walking is a type of walking that originated in Finland and involves using special poles.

Using a pole allows you to engage not only your legs but also your arms, back, and other upper body muscles, resulting in a well-balanced full-body workout. It's easy to try, even for beginners, regardless of their exercise experience.

In this experience, you will learn how to use the poles and how to walk, and then take a stroll around the area while enjoying the autumn nature of Kunma. Poles will be provided free of charge, so even if you are new to Nordic walking, please feel free to join us.

Lunch will be provided after the experience. Why not refresh your mind and body while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the mountain village?
