【Important Notes:】
This is a private charter boat for a maximum of 4 people per group. Children from elementary school age and older are welcome to participate. (For safety reasons, infants are not permitted.)
The decision on whether or not to proceed with the tour will generally be made at noon the day before, and if it is canceled, we will contact the person who made the reservation.
We aim to operate the tour when wind speeds are 5 m/s or less. However, we will make a comprehensive judgment based on weather, wind, wave conditions, etc., and may cancel the tour if it is difficult to ensure safety.
Even if the tour is scheduled to proceed the day before, it may be canceled on the day of the tour, or the tour content may be changed or the return to port may be earlier than planned due to sudden changes in weather or other reasons.
As this is an experience conducted in nature, we cannot guarantee that you will catch any fish.
Depending on the weather and cloud conditions, you may not be able to see the sunset.
For your safety, please wear a life jacket while on board and follow the captain's instructions.
Please remain seated at all times while the ship is in motion for your safety.
If we determine that it is not safe for anyone to board the ship, such as someone who has been drinking or is feeling unwell, we may ask them to refrain from participating.
- Your clothes and belongings may get wet from splashes of water while on board.
Please take extra care to prevent your valuables, smartphones, etc. from getting wet, being dropped, or getting lost.
・This experience will be conducted in Japanese only.
This family-friendly experience plan involves traveling to a fishing spot on Lake Hamana in a chartered boat and enjoying boat fishing.
We provide all the necessary equipment, such as fishing rods and tackle, so you can participate empty-handed!
For children and their guardians who are new to fishing, we will carefully explain how to use the equipment and how to fish before you board the boat.
The fishing method we'll be trying this time is "sabiki fishing," which is easy for beginners to enjoy. Since you don't need to directly touch the bait or cast the fishing rod far, even first-timers can easily give it a try.
We travel to the fishing grounds by boat and enjoy leisurely fishing at up to two different spots. One of the unique charms of boat fishing is being able to experience the nature of Lake Hamana up close during the journey.
During the evening hours, depending on the weather and time of year, you may be able to see the sunset over Lake Hamana while fishing or traveling.
Since the boat is chartered for a maximum of 4 people per group, you can enjoy a relaxing fishing trip with just your family or group.
*As this is an experience conducted in nature, we cannot guarantee that you will catch any fish. Also, the sunset may not be visible depending on the weather and time of year.
■ Flow of the day
20 minutes before the start | Gathering and registration
Please arrive at Mochida Marine Company 20 minutes before the start time. There will be registration and boarding preparations, so please allow ample time.
If you are coming by car, please use the parking lot across the street from Mochida Marine Co., Ltd. The parking spaces are indicated by the red frame in the attached image.
Please check in at the waiting room inside the marina.
↓
Before boarding | Experience and safety briefing
We will explain the day's schedule and any important safety precautions. We will also show you how to use a life jacket, and you will put it on before moving to the boat.
↓
Departure | Travel to fishing spot (approx. 30 minutes)
We're finally setting sail! We'll head to a fishing spot chosen by the captain based on the conditions of the day.
↓
Fishing experience | Approximately 60 minutes
Try your hand at sabiki fishing at up to two different spots. The captain will carefully guide even first-timers on how to fish.
↓
Returning to port from the fishing spot | Approximately 30 minutes
After the fishing experience, we will return to the marina by boat. Depending on the weather and time of year, you may be able to see the sunset over Lake Hamana on the way back to port.
↓
Return to port and dispersal
We returned to Mochida Marine Company, and the experience is now complete.
■ Clothing
You may get wet from splashes of water on board, so please wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting a little wet.
For footwear, we recommend non-slip, secure shoes such as sneakers that won't easily come off.
Also, it can get chilly on the lake in the evenings, so please bring a jacket depending on the season.
■ What to bring
We will provide all the necessary fishing equipment (fishing rod, tackle, bait, life jacket, etc.), so you can participate empty-handed.
Please bring drinks, towels, a hat, sunscreen, a jacket, motion sickness medication, etc., as needed.
■ About the fish I caught
You can take home the fish you catch, if you wish.
If you wish to take your food home, please bring a cooler box.
If you do not have a cooler box, we will be selling styrofoam coolers on-site for 500 yen.
If you would like your catch cooked, we can recommend a local restaurant. If you would like this service, please indicate this in the "Contact the Operator" section when making your reservation.
